1. Promoter
The promoter is ASCENTS HOTEL PTY LTD (THE WESTIN MELBOURNE) ABN 40 134 617 959 of 205 Collins Street, Melbourne Victoria 3000 (“Promoter”).

2. Promotion Period
The promotion opens at 7:00 AM AEST on Monday 12 January 2026 and closes at 11:59 PM AEST on Sunday 25 January 2026 (“Promotion Period”). The Promoter’s computer is the official time-keeping device.

3. Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over who:

• - are existing or new Marriott Bonvoy members (free to join), and
• - subscribe to The Westin Melbourne newsletter as part of the entry process.

Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, Marriott International, Tennis Australia Limited, and their respective agencies, contractors, and related entities are not eligible to enter.
Participation constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to verify eligibility.

4. How to Enter
To enter, during the Promotion Period entrants must:

1. Visit The Westin Melbourne hosted competition page,
2. Complete the entry form including their email address and Marriott Bonvoy membership number,
3. Subscribe to The Westin Melbourne newsletter, and
4. Submit an original response to the following question (maximum 75 words):

“In 75 words or less, tell us about a moment when travel or sport created a lasting memory for you, and why experiencing the Australian Open in Melbourne would be meaningful.”
Limit: One entry per person, per email address, per Marriott Bonvoy membership number. Entries that are incomplete, late, illegible, offensive, or not original will be deemed invalid. Automated or bulk entries are prohibited.

5. Judging
This promotion is a game of skill. All valid entries will be judged on Monday 26 January 2026 by a judging panel appointed by the Promoter consisting of:

• - Three representatives from The Westin Melbourne, and
• - Two representatives from Marriott International.

Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:

• - Originality and creativity: 40%
• - Emotional impact and storytelling quality: 30%
• - Relevance to travel, sport, and the Australian Open experience: 30%

The two entries with the highest overall scores will be deemed the winners. The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. Winners and Notification
The winners will be notified by email on Monday 26 January 2026 using the email address provided at entry.
Winners must respond within 24 hours of notification to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond within this timeframe, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to the next highest-scoring entry.

All elements are fixed. Times for the racquet fitting and on-court session will be advised to the winner.

• - Behind the Scenes tour at Rod Laver Arena

All elements are fixed.

Prize Conditions

• - Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
• - No flights are included.
• - Any expenses not expressly listed are the responsibility of the winner.
• - Ash Barty is not the promoter of this competition and participation is subject to availability and scheduling as determined by the organiser.
• - The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any element of a prize with an equivalent of equal or greater value if required.

8. General
The Promoter reserves the right to verify entries and disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or breaches these Terms & Conditions.
If the promotion cannot run as planned due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may cancel or modify the promotion, subject to applicable laws.

9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits, excludes or modifies any rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to any non-excludable guarantees, the Promoter and associated parties are not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the promotion or acceptance or use of a prize.

10. Release and Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, entrants release and hold harmless the Promoter, Marriott International, Tennis Australia Limited, and each of their respective officers, employees, agents, contractors and related entities (“Released Parties”) from any liability arising from participation in the promotion or the acceptance or use of any prize, including but not limited to any technical malfunction, loss, injury or damage.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits, excludes or modifies any rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law which cannot be excluded.

11. Privacy
Personal information collected will be handled in accordance with the Marriott Privacy Policy, available at www.marriott.com/privacy. Information is collected for the purpose of administering this promotion and Marriott Bonvoy membership.

12. Publicity
Winners may be invited to participate in promotional activity related to the promotion. Winners may opt out of name publication upon request.

13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
